How to Calculate the Volume of a Cylinder
The volume measures the total space inside the cylinder. It equals the area of one circular base multiplied by the height:

- Lateral (curved) surface area – the side wall only
A_lat = 2 × π × r × h - Total surface area – the side plus both circular ends
